How well do you know ... Brayden Schenn? 11/1

Happy November, everyone.

The Phantoms are on the Glens Falls Civic Center ice right now, so this seems like a pretty good time to roll out the new blog feature we announced about 12 hours ago. Here's a refresher: I thought it might be fun to host a season-long trivia contest on this blog. Once a week, I'll ask a Phantoms player five trivia questions from predetermined categories and see who can get the most right.

I've turned the answers white so you can play along at home. To reveal the right answers, highlight the text. Without further delay, here's Brayden Schenn.

After being picked fifth in the 2009 NHL Draft, Brayden Schenn spent the following two seasons in the Los Angeles Kings organization, where he played for current Phantoms' head coach Terry Murray. He joined the Flyers' organization last summer as one of the players the team received in the trade that sent Mike Richards to the Kings. A veteran of 74 NHL games at the age of 21, he leads the Phantoms with nine points in seven games this season.

Brayden, how well do you know your ...

Hometown: You're from Saskatoon, Sask. What WWE Hall-of-Famer was born in Saskatoon?
Schenn's answer: The Undertaker
Correct answer: "Rowdy" Roddy Piper

Teammates: What other Phantom lists Saskatoon as his hometown?
Schenn's answer: Andrew Johnston
Correct answer: Andrew Johnston

Sports news: According to both the BCS and AP rankings, what is the No. 1 college football team?
Schenn's answer: Auburn
Correct answer: Alabama

Adirondack hockey history: What ESPN analyst once co-owned a hockey team in Glens Falls?
Schenn's answer: I don't know
Correct answer: Barry Melrose

Sports movies: What was the name of the knuckepuck-shooting d-man in The Mighty Ducks series?
Schenn's answer: How do I not know this? I haven't watched The Mighty Ducks in a while. Uhh, who's that big knucklepucker? I can't remember. I don't know. I used to watch Mighty Ducks all the time. I haven't watched it in like, 15 years. That's probably why, though.
Correct answer: Russ Tyler

Schenn's score: 1/5.

Bonus trivia question: When I asked Schenn about the WWE talent, another Phantom overheard the conversation and asked us if we knew who was billed from Glens Falls. I answered "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan and this player let out Duggan's signature "HOOOOOOOOOO!" before leaving the arena.

See if you can guess who that was. More after practice.

Until next time,
MC

I'm going to guess the person giving the "Hooooooooooo!" was Fitzy.
