Pre-Game vs. Syracuse 12/14

Greetings from the Glens Falls Civic Center, where the Syracuse Crunch (15-6-1-2) are in town to take on the Adirondack Phantoms (10-12-1). The Phantoms are in a bit of a slide right now, having gone 1-4-1 in their past six, but the only team they've beaten during that stretch is Crunch.

This will be another test for Adirondack's defense, as the Crunch have scored an American Hockey League-high 88 goals in 24 games. That's 3.67 per night. The Phantoms, conversely, are scoring 2.57 a game, which ranks 24th in the 30-team league. They've talked about getting more balanced scoring, but they truthfully just need more scoring. Welcome back Matthew Ford to the line-up. By the way, give that a read if you haven't yet. Murray was pretty candid about why Ford has not been playing.

Syracuse always does some funky stuff with their line rushes in warm-ups. I jotted down the way they ran them below, but I'm fairly confident they'll change once the puck drops. Adirondack has one to scratch. Looked like Testwuide and it is. Riku Helenius and Scott Munroe in net. Full lines below.

One link before we get started tonight: Andrew Johnston, sent to the ECHL to get more playing time, is out with a concussion, our Journal Register Company sister paper The Trentionian reports.
